This weekend I went to The Healing Moon Wellness Center and participated in a Crystal Grid Healing class.  The class was being taught by the owner, Trisha Matthies, an adept of healing therapies.  And before I jump into briefly describing my experience I want to tell you that this is probably one of the most legitimate wellness centers I have ever had the privilege of visiting…so thank you Trisha for being true to your calling.

Years ago I had participated in crystal grid work with one or two people, but we used the grid for dimensional trekking.  During those years my experience with grid work bordered on pushing limits to the extreme.

Trisha’s class focused on opening your crown chakra, in addition to letting the stones she selected for the grid to do their stuff – which is to clear blockages and move energy.  This lady knows what she’s doing.  I appreciated the attention to details: hand-out sheets, organized classroom with all the crystals perfectly selected, mats, blankets, eye pillows, bolsters, pen and paper, were all lined up perfectly waiting to greet each student.

Once the grid was set up, Trisha began with a meditative walk-through to get us relaxed and in our zones.  The rest was up to our receptivity to the stones’ energy and the responsiveness of our bodies to allow the healing work to begin.

My throat was one area that needed to be cleared, according to a very long time Guide of mine, who was compassionate enough to show up in my grid.  I could feel him literally opening my throat and begin some form of surgical procedure.  The movement of energy set me coughing out loud.  I felt a core of substance, much like wax, being removed from my throat in a counter-clockwise direction.  I had to remove the stone upon my throat twice while this work was being done.  At the end of the session my throat felt lighter, cleared of obstruction.  The lesson for me, chatterbox that I am, was that there were words and feelings I was not properly expressing, and that was resulting in my throat chakra being blocked.

My daughter, who is one of the most painfully logical thinkers I know, joined me in this class.  While this may not be her element, even with me as her Mum, I have to applaud her adventurous spirit for trying something very new and outside her rationale.  I don’t have the permission to quote her experience, but in her own words it was much like “an acid trip.”  That must have been unnerving to a far left-moded thinker.

If you are looking to clear and heal your energy in a non-invasive way, try grid work.  Let someone who knows what they are doing walk you through it to receive the full benefits of this type of healing therapy.

And honestly, I’m not too sure how this post is going to read because I am very, very mellow right now.  Mellow Yellow.  I think my daughter’s grid was too close to mine.
