Today the season of spring began to dissolve apathy from me.
Cardinals were vocalizing their “purdees” like a Gatling gun; the sun forced my face to turn and soak in its glorious warmth.
Slogging through this past winter was particularly difficult. Roller coasting emotions due to the lack of employment prospects, despite my stellar resume, resembled an earthquake graph. I spiked from hopeful, to diminished self-confidence, back to I’ll show ‘em! (using my best Andy Hardy imitation) and finally settled to the realization of age discrimination coupled with a dismal economy. I felt flatlined.
Being of sound Yankee stock, I made up my mind to kick the blues. At my friend Judy’s insistence, we grabbed rakes and headed out back to clean up the felled tree limbs, and decayed fallen leaves from the back woods. I lit a fire in the pit and we began to work on the task at hand in silence.
It never ceases to amaze me that once you physically began to clear, clean, or change any space, the energy begins to stir up creative solutions.
One solution I’ve been struggling with is finding extra space to do my energy work for clients, teach psychic development classes, and serve the local community as a traditional herbalist.
I began to walk around my property and noticed that the space of land where I always envisioned a barn to be raised had now, in my consciousness, turned into a yurt. Judy and I both could clearly see the structure sitting on the land.
Living in the round–what an image of perfection. The Earth is round. The Sacred Hoop is round. Drums imitating Makah’s heartbeart are round. Round never has a beginning or end; it is continuous. Continuous energy and resource.
I will manifest it. The Universe will provide.
