New Moon wisdom from our resident Astrologer Nancy; read, learn, and share the knowledge!
The New Moon In the sign Gemini, is on the 24th at 7:12 am EST — a dual, mutable, air sign that is forever young! Many of those born under this sign have above average intelligence, a great sense of humor, lightening quick wit, the ability to adapt, and are generally cheerful. The other side of the coin, they can have difficulty in making decisions, able to see both sides of an issue; they are flirtatious and charming, and are almost always ready to ditch hard work for a chance to have an adventure. Yes we all know some of those hard-working Gemini’s, but they too, are ready to party if the opportunity arises.
This month has been a mixed bag of emotions, challenges and great strides forward. The New Moon in Gemini will bring a wonderfully upbeat and electric energy to all of us. Gemini rules such varied and sundry things as arms and legs, the solar plexus, lungs and tongue. And those with Gemini strong in their charts may realize they often speak without a lot of previous thought. They may also remember that when they were children, they often were the ones with scraped and bruised arms and legs from those tumultuous games of dodge ball, or just rough-housing with the family dog. Gemini’s can be the Peter Pans of the Zodiac, they maintain a youthful appearance, (sometimes childlike) — they are curious and always on the lookout for the newest and latest gadget, game, movie, or opportunity. This sign of the Twins bestows a facile mind and the ability to do several things at once. Their minds are always racing, and they might have a bit of trouble in staying focused. When they can accomplish this trait, they are a force to be reckoned with. Never underestimate the power and understanding of these delightfully engaging folks.
The Planet that rules Gemini is Mercury, and under its auspices are correspondence, literary items, businesses and merchants, book publishing, advertising, news reporters and contracts — so since it has been in retrograde motion for much of this month, many things may have gone awry. However, the end of this retrograde Mercury will be on the 30th. You would think that many things will clear up at this time, and some things will; there is a small blip on the horizon in the form of a retrograde Neptune, which starts its retrograde motion on the 28th late in the evening at 11:30 pm EST. Now — this is just a fly in the ointment, it will impact our dream states, and slow down those plans we were going to implement when Mercury went direct. So the best way to handle these aspects would be to firm up anything you wanted to get done, and perhaps put the final plan into action after the first week in June. You will have a much greater chance of success at that time.
Saturn, the teacher of the Zodiac has been in retrograde motion for many months, and turned direct late on the 16th. Since it was in the sign Virgo, many may have tried to improve their health by finding better ways to incorporate healthy food and habits into their lives. The payoff will be in the summer months when you realize that all your hard work has paid off in a healthier body, mind, and spirit. Still Saturn will keep your nose to the grindstone by reminding you not to backslide into old habits, and with the sign Virgo to keep you on the right pathway, you can be successful in all your self-improvement missions.
So prepare your affirmations, keep them clear and concise — you might want to include a few that will impact brothers and sisters. You might want to affirm that your vacation will encounter no setbacks, or that your decision to “Staycation” will be a wonderful time to connect with your nearest city, neighborhood or any of the museums and other educational attractions that might be nearby. Even a picnic in the back yard can be a fun-filled and educational tour de force with a bird book to identify local tree inhabiting denizens, or an insect hunt with lots of jars to hold those specimens you might want to study for a few days before releasing them back into the “wild”. Gemini imaginations can soar and can be most creative when faced with a challenge — their stock of “wonder” is never-ending.
The entire day is effective for writing down your affirmations, the New Moon is at 7:12 am EST, so remember to add an hour for Daylight Savings Time. Be playful and inventive when writing your wishes, let the eclectic Gemini energy infuse your imagination with quirky, festive and enlightened ideas! You might be pleasantly surprised when that special wish is granted by the Universe — believe in the future — you will find yourself spending a lot of time there….
